There is the need to identify that what are the qualities of a good leader and what are the qualities of a bad leader; their performance of the group members or people can be effective if leaders are performing and supporting the team members in a good way. However, there is a connection between a performance of a group and a leadership. If the leader considers the changes and appreciates the team members than the better and positive results can be achieved. Effective leadership is important if the leader wants to manage the people. There are different types of supports that a leader can give to its team, if the leadership is bad then team members will not feel happy and feel stress all the time, thus their performance can also affect.

Good and Bad Leadership Qualities

The tangible support can be given to the team members example the training, trust, discipline, direction, rules, material etc. and the intangible support can also help the team members to achieve their goals, however, the intangible support includes, trust, respect, confidence, morale etc. Through giving the support to the team members, the team members will feel positive concern towards the organization, their performance can also be effective. However, the good leader can be effectively deal the team members, there is the need to treat the employees, with love, trust, and care (Keohane, 2010).

If the leader deals better with the team members, they will work with compatibility. There are many good characteristics that a leader could have, a good leader need to listen to the team members carefully and need to help then if they are feeling any problem, during the work. There is the need to coach them and need to trust them so the work could be done in the better way. The leader need to teach the team members the clearer goals of the organization, if the team members know the objectives, goals, and vision in the better way, then they can have the better understanding resources and goals they have to achieve in the organization.

If we talk about the bad leader, then we can say that he does not communicate with the employees and does not give them the proper understanding of the organizational vision. However, bad leadership is something when the leader dishes out the policies, goals, targets and the rules to the team members.  There is need to listen to the complaints that the team members have. If the leader does not provide the adequate, support to the leader or treat the employees as he does not care for them, then there could be problems and team members can never perform in the better way. The control style leadership is the worst leadership because the employees are ignored and their needs are not fulfilled.
